Homecoming AudThe girls performed at the homecoming aud (pep assembly). They performed their pom routine to "We Came To Smash." They also held a fundraiser where kids bought raffle tickets to be drawn to throw a pie in the face of a teacher. It was a lot of fun!

All Iowa tryouts6 Girls were chosen from our team to go to Ames to tryout for the All Iowa Honor Dance Team. Over 500 girls tried out for the team and only 250 were chosen. We had 4 of our 6 girls make the team.

First football gameThe girls perform at the first football game of the season. The full team performed at pre game with the Band and Half time as a team.

Linn-Mar CompetitionThe first competition of the season was at Linn-Mar High School. It was a great jumping off point for the season. We got a lot of really good feedback from the judges and were able to make some important changes to both routines. It was a great way to get things started.

pre competition partyThe girls like to have fun together outside of practice and events too. They just hung out one night before their competition.

Fall Sports kick offEach year the fall sports season kicks off with a big event. All Fall sports teams, the dance teams and the cheerleaders go to Brady Street Stadium and are introduced. The dance team performs at the end of it to close out the night! It's a lot of fun and a great way for people to see us perform early in the season.

ma summer campThe girls attend summer camp every year. This year they went to the MA dance camp in Des Moines. We had an awesome time and learned our routines for the season (Except Our competition routines).

June 26-27, Summer kids camp, grades k-8Each summer we hold a kids camp for kids grades K-8, they come two days for two hours a day to learn what it's like to be on the Blue Illusion Dance Team. These are just some snap shots of the days events.

DAnce Team pool partyThe girls like to hang out together outside of practice and games. They enjoyed a pool party over the summer to blow of some steam!

june 22 car washThe girls got to work washing cars on Saturday June 22. It was a great day and we raised money to help us pay for supplies and competitions for the 2013-2014 Year.
Thanks to the folks at the Hy-Vee Gas Station on Elmore Avenue for hosting us once again. We are so grateful to have them as a partner every year for our car wash. |
