junior varsity team

They perform at home sophomore football and home sophomore basketball games. They junior varsity also competes and performs at school events when invited to. Team do go to summer Camp.
Varsity

They compete as well as perform at all home varsity football and some home varsity basketball games. Six competition members (and alternates) are selected each year to audition for the All-Iowa Honor Dance Team. The All-Iowa members are chosen to join other Iowa dancers and perform at half time of the Girls State 4A basketball game. Six competition members (and alternates) are chosen to compete at the State Solo competition in Newton, Iowa in November. The Varsity team competes as a team at several competitions around the state and also at the ISDTA State Competition in Des Moines.
They have won many awards over the years. Including: State Champions in Coed in 2018, State Runner Ups in Jazz in 2018, 5th Place in Hip Hop State 2016 and many division one ratings. At the other competitions the team has one a number of different awards. Over the past several years the team has also earned top academic honors.

all-male Team

For the first time, in the 2013-2014 school year, Davenport Central took an All-Male routine to the State Competition. The boys came together on their own to form this team, which has become a yearly group. The boys also perform at Girls Home Basketball game. In 2015-2016 season they also competed in Iowa City at the Iowa Spirit Spectacular.
The boys team took a break from 2016-2017, and 2017-2018. However we did have a coed team for the 2017-2018 year. The coed team is Reigning State Champs!
